Sant’Anna School has moved up 50 spots in the world in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by subject. Sant’Anna School continues to occupy the top position in Italy, reflecting its strong focus on “Life Sciences” and positioning among the top 125 universities globally for Agriculture, Biology and Biotechnology.

The 2018 THE rankings ranked Sant’Anna School in the world top 175. This is a strong affirmation of the work conducted in applied scientific research and technology. In addition to being consistently ranked among the world's top 125 universities, Sant’Anna also earns this year’s Times Higher Education rankings for “Clinical, Pre-Clinical & Health”.

The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2020 are designed for students who may benefit from expert advice to pursue degree programs in 2020 academic year. The Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject released today are based on the same range of 13 performance indicators used in the overall World University Rankings across their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. While the methodology was recalibrated for each subject to suit the individual fields, Sant’Anna School and Scuola Normale Superiore, have reaffirmed their commitment to excellence in higher education and their positions (among the top 200) as leading universities in Italy.
